Tested with LockDown Browser v2.1.6.01
Respondus LockDown Browser restricts your Mac to a single-app environment during assessments. Fracture provides an AI overlay that operates at the macOS system level.
Fracture renders ChatGPT or Claude in a private overlay window. The window is excluded from the OS-level capture pipeline and screen capture APIs at the macOS system level. Press ⌥⇧H to show the overlay, type your question, and press ⌥⇧H again to hide it. The overlay does not interfere with or modify LockDown Browser in any way.
The Safe macOS Solution
Need reference access during your exam?
Fracture runs a native floating overlay that sets the macOS window privacy flag. It is 100% excluded from screen capture feeds, window lists, and proctor recordings.
